We have received numerous testimonies, comments, photos, videos from the organizers of the World Snowboard Day 2009 without whom this event would not be what it is today. Thanks to their enthusiasm, involvement and dynamism, federations, resorts, clubs, brands, shops, associations, riders… have contributed to the success of this 4th edition of the World Snowboard Day. The Mountain Division Committee has awarded the Xagó Surf & Snow Club for the originality of its event but would also congratulate the initiative of the Magyar Snowboard Szövetség (Hungarian Snowboard Association) which organized a snowboard contest in downtown Budapest in Hungary. The Magyar Snowboard Szövetség receives the Special Jury Award and won a snowboard outfit from the brand Billabong. For the first time, EuroSIMA has decided to reward the organizer who proposed the most original event on the occasion of the World Snowboard Day. And for this 2009 edition, the winner is the Xago Surf & Snowboard School in Spain who organised the "Triple S Day": surf in the morning, snowboarding all day long and skateboarding in the evening, and this was possible thanks to the school's van decorated with the WSD09 commununication tools. He won a Völkl snowboard.

This year, it is not less than 132 events in 32 countries which will be organized next Sunday, December 20th. And the WSD09 is also the opportunity for you to try your luck to win valuable snowboard prizes: * You have some video producers’ talents, participate in our video competition on the theme “Girls powDer”. Shoot a video of your World Snowboard Day with this subject and send it to us before January 20th, 2010. * You are creative and talented. Then have fun and show the world what you can do by participating in the competition “Create your 2010 World Snowboard Day poster”! You have until Sunday, March 15th, 2010 to send us your creation. The winning artwork will be declined on all the 2010 advertising campaign of the WSD. The principle is simple: they have to propose the most original ever activity. And of course, this one has to be snowboarding related. Craziest activities are also getting prepared all over the world right now. And this “thanks to the furious energy of thousands of anonymous people all passionate by this sport, but also thanks to the full support of dedicated partners not counting their time.”, this is what Remi Forsans, founder of the event, and President of EuroSIMA Mountain Division wanted to tell you today. For its 4th edition, the World Snowboard Day will be celebrated in more ski resorts than in 2008, but also in more cities.
